At Riverchase Baptist Church, We consider it a privilege to partner with you in the care and spiritual nurture of your precious children. Our prayer is to offer a safe, inviting environment where you can trust that our staff and volunteers will nurture, protect, teach and love your child. All our staff workers and volunteers have a great heart for children and are background checked every two years to ensure your child's safety.
We are committed to helping each and every child grow in Christ. We have a children's ministry team that is solely dedicated to making sure that in everything we do our children will glorify God. It is our goal to not only nurture and teach them, but to transform them as they mature with their own relationship with God.
Nursery
For your child’s safety, all children are checked-in using a matching tag procedure to ensure proper identification upon picking up your child. Childcare is available starting 15 minutes before scheduled activities.
Sunday School begins each Sunday at 9:30am and the Worship Hour at 10:30 am. You are free to go from Sunday School into the Worship Service. Your child will continue to receive loving care and learning activities in the same room during Worship Care.
Wednesday evening dinner begins at 5:15 with childcare opening at 5:45. You are welcome to leave your cell phone number with a teacher to allow us to contact you should something need your attention.
We want your family to have a very positive experience as you entrust your precious little ones to us. We strive to keep our Nursery a healthy, clean, safe, and loving environment, a place where you feel comfortable leaving your child. Nursery rooms are staffed and designed to provide personal tender love and care to each child as they begin to discover the love of Jesus.
You will find children busy playing with blocks, puzzles, dolls, a kitchen center, and working on their developmental standards –how can this be Sunday School? Listen carefully and you will hear our teachers and leaders with your child about Jesus! Yes, this can be done with visuals, songs, and crafts but the lesson is woven into many aspects of the morning including play! You may even catch a peek of the kiddos enjoying a ride in the bye-bye buggy!

Sunday School begins each Sunday at 9:30am and the Worship Hour at 10:30 am. You are free to go from Sunday School into the Worship Service. Your child will continue to receive loving care and learning activities in the same room during Preschool Worship.
Wednesday Evening dinner starts at 5:15pm and Mission Friends begins at 6pm.
You will find children busy playing with blocks, magnatiles, puzzles, musical instruments, trucks, dolls, a kitchen center, a tool center, reading books–how can this be learning about God? Listen carefully and you will hear our teachers and leaders having conversations with your child about the Bible story of the day. Yes, the story is told with visuals, songs, and crafts but the lesson is woven into many aspects of the morning including play! When the weather allows, we enjoy some free play out on the playground. Parents, you can use the take-home piece to reinforce the lesson with your child at home.
1st-5th
For your child’s safety, all children are checked-in using a matching tag procedure to ensure proper identification upon picking up your child. The classroom opens 15 minutes before Sunday School and RAs/GAs.
Sunday School begins each Sunday at 9:30am and the Worship Hour at 10:30 am. Please be sure to pick up your child from their Sunday School class prior to service. Only authorized adults may pick up a child from a classroom.
Wednesday Evening dinner starts at 5:15pm and RAs/GAs begins at 6pm.
In our elementary classes, children engage in a mix of interactive and hands-on learning. Lessons may include sitting together around the table to read the Bible or bringing stories to life through acting. Children also enjoy creative activities like crafting or fun challenges, such as racing to put the books of the Bible in order. One of the class favorites is the girls vs. boys review game, where they quiz each other on memory verses and key lessons. Whatever the activity, we like to make sure that the lesson is woven throughout each aspect of the morning. Parents, you can use the take-home piece to reinforce the lesson with your child at home.
